The European elections mean an opportunity for young people to determine the future of the EU. This year’s European elections count more than ever. The outcome will affect who will lead the European Commission in future. Young people have the chance with their vote to decide what course European politics will take over the next years.

Youth unemployment is one of Europe’s severest challenges and it is a priority for European politics. Laszlo will talk about initiatives his department has taken to tackle unemployment of the future European generation, like the ‘Youth Guarantee’. The event is an opportunity to catch up on the Union’s policy and its significance for young Europeans – just one week before the election day.

Laszlo will also talk about how the upcoming elections influence decision-making in Brussels and how important it is for young people to take their fate into their own hands and go out and vote.

The event will take place from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre, SOAS, University of London, WC1H 0XG. [Map]
