The lotus spa & tea
Write a review a photo. Very good. Tina N 14 contributions. Exceptional Spa! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere is completely peaceful and relaxing. You can feel your stress melt away the minute you sit down in the reclining chair.
Once your foot massage starts This is my 4th visit and every tech I've had is well-trained, gentle and caring. I just purchased another 6 sessions. This is a cute little place. The massages are done in a large back room which is quite dark. The chairs are separated by curtains so it's not completely private.
During the massage you are reclined and given warm blankets and a warm cover on your eyes. It was a very relaxing experience and I would definitely go back. Acceptable foot massage.

Went here on a Groupon. A bit difficult policies on making reservation, Environment is OK when you get there. It was OK, not great on my visit.
I heard from friends it was great, so maybe I got unlucky on my masseuse. Written February 19, YayeMama Maplewood, NJ contributions.
After receiving a gift certificate for 50 minutes of reflexology I made an appointment and was really looking forward to it. Lotus Spa is located in a storefront on the busy Bloomfield Ave. As luck would have it, today was the day they were doing some sidewalk work and the building was almost shaking for half of my session, which was not relaxing for me.
I realize this is out of the spa's control, but still. This is a 40 minute massage of the legs, feet and arms, but in no way is this what a real reflexology session is like. The masseuse working on me never asked my medical history, and didn't apply pressure points to my feet, only tapped my individual toes and applied massage. Am I disappointed?
I've been to reflexology sessions before and my gift certificate stated that it was a Reflexology Session not a massage. I expected to feel tingling and a sense of opening and energy moving as reflexology centers on certain points that have an effect on the internal organs.
That is not what I received today. As I was leaving, the front desk told me since I had a groupon certificate I had to pay them tax, which I found odd, as none of the other groupon certificates I'd used in past collected tax.
I'm not sure what their massages are like, but I cannot recommend them for reflexology. Save your money and go to a real reflexology session as this was not it.

Rita W NJ contributions. Fifty Minutes of Heaven! I just didn't want to waste time and money only to be underwhelmed by the experience, as I have been in the past at some spas. I made an appointment for a 50 minute session with Robert. He and the other staff members were very welcoming. I was taken into the massage room on time. The room is low lit with several very comfy reclining chairs. I loved the crystal mud foot soak - heavenly!
New foot spa and tea bar opens in verona
They do not have the traditional foot baths that are used in nail salons. You will not be soaking in a foot bath that has been used by half of humanity just you - heavenly! For 50 minutes, Robert expertly massaged from the knees down. He also massaged lower arms and hands, along with a brief neck massage - heaven! The 50 minutes flew by! But this was the absolute most relaxing massage I have ever had - 50 minutes of heaven!
The massage is followed by a lovely cup of tea. I'll be back No questions have been asked about this experience.
